On November 28, 2024, the selected projects (a total of 463) of the second phase of the China Excellent Science and Technology Journals Project (2024-2028) were officially announced. The Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology was selected as a second-phase excellent Chinese journal (100 journals, including 90 academic and 10 popular science journals).
This is the second time the journal has been selected after successfully completing the first phase (2019-2024), and it is recognition of the journal's work and achievements in the first phase.
Here, we would like to express our most sincere gratitude to the leaders, experts, editorial board members, authors, and readers at all levels, including the China Association for Science and Technology, the Chinese Physiological Society, the Propaganda Department of Guangdong Provincial Committee of the CPC, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and Jinan University, for their continuous care and support for the development of the Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology!
We will continue to uphold the philosophy of "seeking truth and pragmatism, keeping pace with the times, and striving for excellence." We will put the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC into practice and respond to the call of General Secretary Xi Jinping to "write papers on the land of the motherland" and strive to create a first-class science and technology journal in the field of basic medicine with both domestic and international influence!

【Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology】Founded in 1985, it is the only comprehensive high-level academic journal of pathophysiology in China, under the auspices of the China Association for Science and Technology, sponsored by the Chinese Physiological Society, and undertaken by Jinan University. It publishes papers, thematic reviews, and experimental technology innovations and improvements in the field of pathophysiological research (including experimental and clinical research), focusing on introducing the pathogenesis of diseases. Currently, it has been included in "China Excellent Science and Technology Journals Project," "100 Outstanding Chinese Academic Journals," "Chinese Core Journals," "China's Excellent Science and Technology Journals," "China's Core Science and Technology Journals," etc., and is indexed by databases such as the Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD) core database, Beida Core, CNKI, Wanfang, Weipu, ChaoXing, Scopus (Netherlands), EBSCO (USA), Chemical Abstracts (CA) (USA), the Japan Science and Technology Agency Database (JST), and the WHO Western Pacific Region Index Medicus (WPRIM).
【China Excellent Science and Technology Journals Project】Launched in 2019, it is jointly implemented by seven ministries and commissions, including the China Association for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the State Press and Publication Administration, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. It aims to promote the high-quality development of China's science and technology journals and serve the construction of a strong science and technology country. In September 2024, in order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC National Congress and the National Science and Technology Conference, earnestly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on accelerating the cultivation of world-class science and technology journals, and continuously enhance the academic leadership and international influence of China's science and technology journals, seven ministries and commissions launched the second phase of the China Excellent Science and Technology Journals Project (2024-2028). After open application, qualification review, statement defense, expert committee review, and results announcement, it was officially announced.
