Lin Runhua, president of the China Association for Science and Technology's Science and Technology Herald, and his colleagues visited the Chinese Society of Pathophysiology.

According to the work arrangement, on the morning of November 28, 2024, Lin Runhua, president of the China Association for Science and Technology's Science and Technology Herald, visited our association for a field research. Zhang Youyi, president of the association, and Xu Hong, executive vice secretary-general, attended the meeting, along with staff from the association's secretariat. The meeting was held in the association's meeting room.

First, Executive Vice Secretary-General Xu Hong reported on the overall work of the association in 2024, covering party building, membership management, project implementation, science popularization, and finance. Vice Secretary-General Xu Hong stated that the association's leaders and staff members are performing their duties, and all work is proceeding in an orderly manner.

Following this, President Zhang Youyi gave a brief report on the three professional journals hosted by the association: "Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology", "Chinese Journal of Experimental Hematology", and "Chinese Journal of Arteriosclerosis". She also conveyed the problems and requests of the editorial departments of the three journals. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on how to better run professional journals in line with national needs.

Lin Runhua stated that as an academic community, the association should maintain its academic nature and provide a platform for talent cultivation. He believes that the Chinese Physiological Society is a small but sophisticated, strong, and beautiful association, characterized by rigorous work, steady development, and strong cohesion. He gave full affirmation to the association's work and characteristics. Subsequently, he provided detailed guidance and responses to the needs of the association and its journals.

Finally, President Zhang Youyi stated that this meeting provided a valuable opportunity for communication, serving as both affirmation of the association's work and encouragement for its future development. The association will continue to improve the quality of its services and further optimize its management to provide a broader platform for communication and solid support for the association's various specialized committees and members.
