Twelve recipients selected for the China Association for Science and Technology Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program (doctoral student special program) under the auspices of the Chinese Society of Pathophysiology

The China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) Office has released the list of selected candidates for the 2024 CAST Young Talent Lifting Project Doctoral Program, with 3226 people selected in the first batch. The Chinese Society of Pathophysiology, as a supporting society, will provide support services for 12 selected doctoral students. The support period is from January 2025 to December 2026.

CAST launched this special project in September 2024, with the fundamental goal of cultivating a large team of young scientific and technological talents. Adhering to the original mission of 'cultivating people for the Party and cultivating talents for the country,' it focuses on the service goal of 'accumulating water and nurturing seedlings' for the scientific and technological talent echelon. It uses support services as the basic method and, based on actual work needs, designs and carries out work scientifically and systematically. The aim is to allow academic resources to benefit young scientific and technological reserve forces with development potential more widely.

At present, the Society has established a special working group for the Youth Support Doctoral Program, initially established academic archives, and assigned mentors and tutors. Next, the Society will conduct support services in accordance with the "Management Measures (Trial) for the China Association for Science and Technology Young Talent Lifting Project Doctoral Program" and combined with the Society's characteristics.
